Community Work

Ritch is the Immediate Past President of Active Community Engagement (ACE), a non-profit organization in Ontario. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ritch has been relentless in his effort to improve access to public health services for our community. He led and mobilized a team of volunteers to provide technical support to more than 500 senior residents to access their vaccination QR codes. He also helped distribute Rapid Test Kits to the residents during the wave of the Omicron variant. In addition, Ritch is keenly passionate about community outreach and has hosted multiple virtual forums on government budgets, city by-elections and sustainability.

Echoing the needs of our community, Ritch and ACE recently invited York Regional Police and the Community Crime Awareness Association to host an in-person Crime Prevention Day. This program guided the community in managing day-to-day challenges such as car theft, home break-ins and Asian hate crimes. His work ethic is reflected in his diligence in supporting the community, commitment to collective decision-making, and relationship building.
